Clare Grant
Clare Grant felt passionate about acting at an early age. This led her to be involved in theatre throughout school, going on to earn a degree in theatre performance through the University of Memphis - her hometown. It was her professors who urged Clare into film; they had her meet with local director, Craig Brewer who later wrote a leading role for her in an indie film, Natural Selection. Impressed by her talents, she was also cast in his next project. The good buzz on Clare's performances led her to be cast in several others films with local directors before she booked a small but pivotal role in WALK THE LINE as the Lissome Girl, "Audrey Parks". WALK THE LINE encouraged Clare to leave Memphis and make the move to Hollywood, where she immediately began working on as many small independent films as she could. Craig Brewer had also found success in Hollywood with HUSTLE & FLOW and then cast his former protégé Clare in the role of, Kell a best friend of, Christina Ricci's character, Ray in the movie BLACK SNAKE MOAN. Ironically, booking her first studio film role in LA took her back to Memphis for the filming. Currently she is playing the lead role of Valerie in an episode of Masters of Horror, titled VALERIE ON THE STAIRS, created, directed, produced and written by Mick Garris. Clare currently resides in LA, with hobbies including collecting and reading comics, video games, reading and spending time with her friends and two cats.
